Britney Jean Spears
Britney Jean Spears was born on December
2 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a
young girl, Britney attended dance classes, and she was great at gymnastics,
winning many events and such. But, most of all, Britney loved to sing. At age
8, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however she was
refused due to her age. The show then redirected her to an off-Broadway
musical, "Ruthless", for 2 years as the main character. At the age of
11, she tried again for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). This time, she
played an actor in the show along with other current stars, Justin Timberlake
and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. Her breakthrough however, was after
she was signed a Jive Recording Artist in the late 90s. The debut album of
Britney Spears, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9
million copies (as as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I Do
It Again" which was released May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne
Spears and Jamie Spears. She has a big brother Bryan Spears and a little sister
Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was a daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney
Houston, was always determined to become a famous. Britney auditioned to The
All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television when she was 8. But she
was not old enough for the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister
relocated to New York where she starred in a variety of TV adverts and the
off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", where she was a student of Natalie
Portman. Her passion for dancing and music took over and, 2 years later, she
auditioned for part in "Mickey Mouse" again, and this time, was
selected for the role along with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
